As many of you know I have been involved in this league in some way, shape, or form for the past 15 years. And for the most part I like to keep in the background and make sure things run as smoothly as possibly.

We launched a new website this year with a ton of help from Aaron Flick. Candi Houchin, Dru Hornak, Aaron, and I have worked very hard on this. We are trying to streamline the process and make everyone lives a little easier. Have there been issues? Yes. We are working through them and trying to find solutions. This brings me to registration.

This year we tried something different. We would open up a Team, Registration first. This would allow us to establish how many teams would be playing this year and then we could have schedules ready by the Captain’s Meeting. We wouldn’t have to make Jimmy and the folks at Huron Distributors make changes over and over again because of late entries.

That being said. Anyone who wished to play this year has had ample time to get a team on the roster. 3 weeks. Yes, we had some issues with getting teams signed up. Most issues were resolved by messaging one of us BEFORE THE DEADLINE. We are not signing up any more teams. If you want to play and didn’t get a team registered, you’ll have to find a team looking for players. And then you can sign up as a player for a register team STARTING TOMORROW.

Now, like I’ve said I don’t typically get super worked up about this but this has got to stop. We have a page that we post on. Most people know who sits on the committee or at least knows someone who knows someone who sits on the committee. See where I’m going with this? It’s a small town people.

We have rules in place to make everyone’s life easier. Again, we don’t get paid to do this. We give up a lot of our time to make this league work. If people have issues with how things are run, then by all means STEP UP!

And I think it’s in very poor taste to threaten the league with loss of sponsorships or money. GROW UP. Playing on this league is a privilege not a given or guaranteed thing. So, keep that in mind before you start throwing shade (see I’m hip).

So, to recap and hopefully I didn’t lose you somewhere in this novel that I appear to be writing. Team registration is OVER. Player registration starts TOMORROW. Be an adult.

A friend told me once that if it’s important enough, you’ll make time. You’re never too busy if it’s something you really want to do.

One last time: TEAM REGISTRATION – OVER.

PLAYER REGISTRATION – STARTS TOMORROW.

PLAYER REGISTRATION – ENDS JUNE 17TH

If you have any issues contact one of us before the deadline. We’ll get you taken care of. If you wait until the deadline, that’s on you.

Phew!

THIS JUST IN!

Since we only have 2 teams registered for C league on Tuesday nights, we’ll be moving them up to B-2. On Thursday there are only 4 teams for A league, so we’ll be combining everyone into one league.
